Our Story

We specialize in limited-production clothing, interior decorations, accessories, and jewelry from Japan and/or inspired by Japanese aesthetics. We collaborate with highly skilled craftspeople and designers both locally and from around the globe, creating sophisticated yet accessible selections that are modern yet classic.

We opened up our store, Sakura Sakura, in Japantown, San Francisco, in 2000 after years of designing and producing clothing and accessories for various markets throughout the US and Japan. From the very beginning, our mission has been to introduce beauty and art to the world and make them accessible to all.
